Does anyone know what those underground houses are called that the hobbit’s live in off of lord of the rings? I am interested in building something like that, and would like to know more about them.

Question by Caleb: Do you think people should start building cities underground?
Like in the Lord of the Rings, when they go through the dwarf city of Moria. That place was huge! I think it would be awesome to live inside of a mountain city. These days, we have the technology, we could easily carve out mansions within the mountainsides. It might help solve our population problem, by creating more habital living space.
